Door Hugger

Door huggers are cut from foam board. Black fill works the best. The first one I made was cut with a hot knife. I burned my hand try to catch it before it hit the carpet. My wonderful hubby bought me a circular saw. It cut fast and no burns.

ATC Swap Challenge

So I am still working on tear bears. This ATC met the requirements of embossed. I added chalk edge of a Martha Stewart flower to make it stand out against the yellow background.
This was just a computer generated graphic by Laurie Furnell "In My Garden" that I purchased at pccrafter.com. I added a little glitter and pop dots to her and the bird houses.

Valentine Card

I really liked this saying from Laurie Furnell's new graphic collection. I threaded ribbon around a cut out heart and used pop dots for dimension. Graphics can be found on pccrafter.com.

Snowman Soup

Thanks to the graphics from Laurie Furnell at pccrafter.com, this cute little card was a snap to make. I printed a quarter card front with a tan background and snowman. On the other half of the card I printed the inside and the extra snowman for the front.

Using my Cuttlebug and the Swiss Dot embossing folder to give the front dimension, I cut the extra snowman out and used pop dots to raise him off the page. I picked up snowman marshmallows from Walmart. Plastic wrap holds the marshmallows in place and covered wire closes the wrap. Spoon is mounted with a pop dot.

Punched two hold through the package of cocoa, topper and front of card. The ribbon hold all three together. I made these for my granddaughter's teachers. Hope they like them.

Think Pink

This was breast cancer month. I did these two cards for a swap using graphics from Heart & Soul by Laurie Furnell. The Perfectly Paisley Cuttlebug folder was used for the background and dimensionals to raise the stripe paper and parts of the card. The picture below was the first card I made; you can see how the embossing folder really adds.

Often you never get to see what they did on the inside. Thought you might like to see this one.

Toad-ally Awesome

This cute little basket this a GSD file by Ruthan from Uk Scrappers site. I added frog graphics from Laurie Furnell and Carolee Jones for this collection from pccrafter.com.

I found some cute frog mints, but the box was not very attractive. I stapled a topper for the baggy to give it a new look. They help get you hopping and gets the frog out of your throat.

When I saw a package of green M&M's, I just had to make these Frog-a-licious Pills. They will give you all the things listed without giving you that green tint to your skin. LOL

Door Toppers

The hardest part of making door toppers is getting them balanced to sit on the small door jam . The front can not be too heavy. I like using black foam board the best, but sometimes it can be a little expensive. Mount the graphic on foam board and cut out with a hot knife or scroll saw. Blank Card

In just minutes, you can have five cards completed with four pieces of card stock. I used "Doodle Heart Valentine" graphics by Laurie Furnell. They can be purchased at pccrafter.com

1. Because the front of the card is doubled, I used 67 lb. card stock. Here is how I printed out the graphics to achieve 5 cards.

2. Cute paper in half at the 5 1/2". Then the piece on the left needs to be cut in half at the 4 1/4".

3. I used the "Love Language" embossing folder in my Cuttlebug on the front panel. I did not want the lace part of the graphic embossed, so I place the edge of the folder along the graphic line.

4. Here you can see a close up of the embossing. You can also see that I used two copies of the border layered together. It does not matter how they meet, because the medallion will cover the connection up.

5. Fold the butterfly portion of the card in half, with the butterfly inside.

6. I lined up the embossed panel and the front of the card together and trim along the second line of the border graphic with mini scallop scissors.

7. Use your favorite glue method to adhere the embossed panel to the front of the card. I love my ATG gun.

8.Make sure you line up how much of the white you want to show. Flip card over and trim the excess from the front panel along the fold. Cut out the medallions.  Add a pop dot to the back of the medallion.

9. Place the medallion on the front border. I used it to cover the junction of the border.

Here you are a completed card. I like the pattern so well I made another set that was wide instead of tall.

Valentine Wrapper

Laurie Furnell was so very kind to share this wrapper with us for Valentine's Day. I purchased her Doodle Heart collection from pccrafter.com. Using pop dots for dimension, I made these last minute valentine wrappers for some chocolate and smoothie flavored Skittles.

Popcorn Snowman

I just Laurie Furnell. Thanks to her gift last year, this cute snowman is possible. Hope you all have a wonderful holiday time. Thanks Sara for the inspiration.

Bag in a Box

 I love the bags made by Andrea but I could not wait to make my own version. Although the lighting was not the best for glitter foil paper, I couldn't wait to make this santa bag in a box. The belt is an 11" x 3/4" light weight paper threaded through a slotted silver brad. I hot glued on the buttons so I did not have to cut off the backs.

This version is thanks to Laurie Furnell. I adapted her snowman wrapper graphic into a wrap for my bag in a box. Snow glitter was added by brushing on clear glue. Curly yarn for the scarf and top knot. I have inclued the PDF and GSD files; and my alterations for the tab are also inclued.
