A Zion Family

Too often we don't look for peace and tranquility in the things that surround us. If you look close enough you can find Heaven in the everyday things. But if we don't see the blessing and only see the stuff, we will have a hard time finding happiness. This was the topic a couple of Sunday's ago. It stuck with me and inspired this little ditty that I turned into a card.

Look for Heaven in all you see

Joy and Happiness is for free

But if you only see the “Stuff”

It will never be enough.

St. Patrick's Bracelet

Fred Meyers had green bead bracelets, one with small beads and the other with larger beads. Mixing the green beads with some silver, I have my own creation. To complete the gift, I wrote a little ditty:
St. Patty's Day is the day you know
For wearin' of the green.
So here is something green to wear
A little bit of bling.

I could not find the author of this cute poem. So here is the link to the pccrafter message board where I found the poem.

Christmas Tags

To jazz up a package, try making tags. They fit nicely in a mint tin. I typed the labels on to sticker paper, trimmed and applied to the tin. Here is the poem I wrote for the back.

All presents are not equal
I really must say
Some are very special
In a very simple way.
Give an extra little touch
To that present you choose,
With a special little tag
Specialmade for you to use.
Hugz ~ Dixie Parker/Kztmiz

There is a set of twelve handmade tags using graphics from pccrafter.com. Some of the tags have double sided tape and some have ties. Of course no gift is complete without chocolate. I found this cute chocolate band aid. All of this fits nicely inside the tin.

Here is one of my favorite tags. I have included a PDF template for your use. It fits on a regular 8" x 11" paper as long as you use the boardless print setting.

Boo Your Neighbor

This door hanger is just right for a neighborhood knock and run. The instructions are given in the poem. Place a plate of goodies on your neighbor's door step, place the door hang on the knob, ring the door bell, and run. It is fun to share this with friends and family. I used the the cute ghost graphic in Witchie Poo and Boo by Laurie Furnell found at pccrafter.com .  Here is the poem.

You've Been Boo-d!

Late last night, we left you a treat.
The tradition is fun, one we hope you'll repeat.

Take the ghost and pin it on your door,
to let others know, you need boo-d no more.

Now it's your duty to pass on the surprise,
to two more families, we must advise.

Gather some treats and deliver them soon,
within two nights, under the light of the moon.

Include a ghost with each package you give,
along with this poem for the tradition to live.
