Thank You Pocket Card

One can never have enough thank you cards around.
1.  The envelope is 9" x 4 4/3".
2.  The inside card is 5 1/2" x  4".
Depending on what glue you use to close the envelop.
You might need to trim a 1/4" off for a better fit.
3. Arched the top of the inside card and
rounded the  bottom corners.
4. Used graphics from the old pccrafter site by
Kimberly Montgomery "Peace and Kindness".
I could not find where her graphics are for sale any more.

Graduation Card for Doctor

Here is the tutorial I used to create this doctor graduation card for a nephew that graduated from Washington. I used velvet ribbon for the sleeves and front of gown, satin ribbon for tie, and grosgraine ribbon for the doctor's hood.  I really liked how it turn out and it was very simple to make.

Any Occasion Card

I have some square envelopes that I picked up on a great buy. So I decided to make a few cards to go in them. This was a quick and very easy card to make. The graphics are from pccrafter.com. Unfortunately, the graphics on that site are not for sale at this time. I applied glue to the hearts with a toothpick and then added Martha Stewart's glitter. It seemed to work well, but if you have a better way, please post.
Check out the 3D effect. Hope they fit in the envelopes. OOPS!

Tear bear Fishing Card

This is a tri-shuttle card. Still have some work to do on the tear bears, but I am not giving up. Graphic is "Bearing All Seasons" by Colleen Perry found at pccrafter.com, and altered to a tear bear. This was a birthday card and below is the present.
I left the Plano sticker on the case so he would know the brand. I added a matching larger tear bear with a "Go Fish" tag and list of flavors of jellybean inside. Now he can taste and guess the flavor.

Here is the original graphic.

Tear Bear Wedding Card

The wedding theme was a mountain cabin setting. Bears are one of the couples favorites. I discovered a new process to create a tear bear. Still working on it, but I think this is better than my first one. I embossed the background with "Love Language" Cuttlebug embossing folder. It turned out pretty good. I hope they liked it.

Cupcake Card

Well it has been a while since I have had time to craft. I miss how much it relaxes me. I have quite a few birthdays this month. I did several version of the above card. This is the first version so it had a few flaws.
When I cut the Happy Birthday with my Craft Robo, I used inside lettering for the other card. Love getting two projects from one cut.
Sorry the inside is so blurry; I did not see the blur until I upload the picture. Of course the card was long gone by then. I used The Glitter Stack paper by DCWV and held the bottom flap closed with two glitter brads. The blank side of the tag hold my sentiment.
I had this idea for a reverse flap to write on for the inside of the other card. I still don't like how it turned out for cutting and folding. I'll have to work on that template some more. Sewing the flap closed was a boo boo, But with added sequined flowers, it turned a mistake into an okay project.
Couple of things about this project. Do not mix the sides of the template or you will have to trim. (see the picture above). Here are the PDF template and the GSD template. Please remember they are not for resale.

Blank Card

With the help of a Cuttlebug embossing folder, this card went together fast. I printed the check pattern on the bottom section of a quarter card size area; attached the ribbon, pearls and saying. The inside is blank but has a blue and white layer of 24 lb paper to set off the writing area.

This card was for Suntalee's very special day of going to the temple. She looked so beautiful and happy.

School Thank You

This thank you card was easier than I thought to put together. I used a 6"x 12" sheet folded on the 2", 4", 8", & 10". From the edges it is cut 1 1/2" between the 2" and 10" fold. Graphics used for this card are by Teresa Kogut when she was designing for pccrafter.com. Her sets have been discontinued. Cardstock is from DCWV paper.

The edges of the base is chalked on all folds to give it an aged feeling. Letter rub-on transfers for a chalkboard look. I also put more transfers on the corner of the envelope.

Wedding Shower

This card and envelope were made for a wedding shower. I designed this card with my Craft Robo. I used white card stock for the first cut and the silhouette couple was cut from black card stock. Fisker punch for the trim on the front of card and inside for a finishing touch. I was in a hurry and did not design an edge. I printed a scatter of hearts on the front corner of the envelope. I hope Lisa liked the card.
It bugs me about the trim. I will share the GSD file in the future when I fix the border.

A Zion Family

Too often we don't look for peace and tranquility in the things that surround us. If you look close enough you can find Heaven in the everyday things. But if we don't see the blessing and only see the stuff, we will have a hard time finding happiness. This was the topic a couple of Sunday's ago. It stuck with me and inspired this little ditty that I turned into a card.

Look for Heaven in all you see

Joy and Happiness is for free

But if you only see the “Stuff”

It will never be enough.

Jungle Theme Baby Shower

This is my word book. It is a card for a baby shower tomorrow. I designed the colored background paper and it is included in the GSD file. The "Born to be Wild" graphics by Shelly Comisky can be found at pccrafter.com.
I used my Cuttlebug to emboss each page. It dressed up the back side enough to leave them plain.
Each photo spot is raised with a pop dot. Since this is going to be given at the baby shower ultra-sound pictures will be placed on each page.
I punched holes with my Big Bite and tied ribbon on the rings after I assembled the album.Maybe I'll make another one for a girl. Here are the GSD file which includes that blue background paper: B ; A ; B ; Y For those of you without a Craft Robo I am working on a PDF file.

God's Four Letter Words

February Swap Cards

These cards are just the cutest. I received them in a swap challenge on pccrafter.com from Shelby. I just had to share them.
You can see it in the picture, but there are raised parts for added dimension.

Valentine Card

I really liked this saying from Laurie Furnell's new graphic collection. I threaded ribbon around a cut out heart and used pop dots for dimension. Graphics can be found on pccrafter.com.

Thrifty Card

So I challenged myself to take paper I did not care for and turn it into something I liked.
This pack of cards was .25 cents at Michael's. It is a nice heavy weight of cardstock.
The black left over scrap from another card was used for a frame. I secured the paper into place with two pieces of tape. Then I add my favorite adhesive ATG tape gun and attached it the card.

I cut the saying with my Cuttlebug using a Nestibilities die, embellished with a bow. What do you think. Not to bad and I used paper I would not consider using.

Baby Boy Card

Redesigned the stork card for a boy. I used Swiss Dot folder for my Cuttlebug for the background of the white. Inside is the negative of the rattle and blocks that spell boy. I cut everything with my Gazelle this time. I have not quite got the hang of converting WPC files into GSD.

I will be posting the final of the wedding announcements.

Snowman Soup

Thanks to the graphics from Laurie Furnell at pccrafter.com, this cute little card was a snap to make. I printed a quarter card front with a tan background and snowman. On the other half of the card I printed the inside and the extra snowman for the front.
Using my Cuttlebug and the Swiss Dot embossing folder to give the front dimension, I cut the extra snowman out and used pop dots to raise him off the page. I picked up snowman marshmallows from Walmart. Plastic wrap holds the marshmallows in place and covered wire closes the wrap. Spoon is mounted with a pop dot.
Punched two hold through the package of cocoa, topper and front of card. The ribbon hold all three together. I made these for my granddaughter's teachers. Hope they like them.
