Pioneer Bonnets

I was asked to sew 11 bonnets that were cut out and ready to go. I had no instructions, not all the parts, and definitely not enough material. So I got creative and patched two together out of the scraps. How's that for fitting the pioneer theme?
I was told to use pop bottles for the visor. They were awful. Thank goodness for Walmart. I pick up plastic placemats for $1 and cut two visors. It worked great. I could not find any help on the web, so I put together some I learned through this process. I did not realize the picture was so blurry until after they were gone.
Here is a PDF with tips and more pictures to help you if you decide to take on a bonnet project.

Tote Bag

Inspired by the gift I received in May from Annie, I created my own version. I made covers for Tic Tac, stress lotion, emergency repair kit, and post-it note. The paper was double sided K & Company, Sea Grass designer paper.

Sham Apron

Here is an apron I put together out of a quilted pillow sham for Mother's day. I sure hope my Mom likes it. I think it turned out pretty cute.
I picked up the quilted sham on sale at a quilt shop between Salt Lake and Provo.
I trimmed around the edge as close as possible. Then cut strips on the bias of the material for the strap, ties and part of the pocket. The trim pieces from the corners on the top of the apron were used to make the pocket. I picked up metal strap piece at Walmart for .$.75.
There was very little left over.
