Recycle Glue Tape to Adhesive Dot

I love using adhesive dots for my projects but they are so expensive. On the project above, I used homemade small dot for the button and a large dot on the flower.  They work wonderfully. Here is a picture of the two sizes I used. Hint: don't put them so close together.

I recycled the used roll from my ATG and I recycled postage stamp sheets. I also saved the wide paper, roll and box from use Glue Dots. I found the stamp sheets hard to store and probably won't use them again. The glue I used was Aleen's Tack it Over and Over. The small dots and thin 1/2" dots only need 24 hours to dry. The 1/2" thick dots, I let dry for two days.

I used an empty 1/2" ribbon roll for the ATG strip. For the small dots I liked the shallow roll instead of the deeper.

Thanks to Linda, here is a video instruction from Stampbuster  on making your own glue dots.

Christmas Tags

To jazz up a package, try making tags. They fit nicely in a mint tin. I typed the labels on to sticker paper, trimmed and applied to the tin. Here is the poem I wrote for the back.

All presents are not equal
I really must say
Some are very special
In a very simple way.
Give an extra little touch
To that present you choose,
With a special little tag
Specialmade for you to use.
Hugz ~ Dixie Parker/Kztmiz

There is a set of twelve handmade tags using graphics from pccrafter.com. Some of the tags have double sided tape and some have ties. Of course no gift is complete without chocolate. I found this cute chocolate band aid. All of this fits nicely inside the tin.

Here is one of my favorite tags. I have included a PDF template for your use. It fits on a regular 8" x 11" paper as long as you use the boardless print setting.

Tooth Fairy Tin

I don't know if I really like this one, so I may alter this post with a new tin. This tin is for those brave children that are loosing their teeth. Graphics by Susan Seals at pccrafter.com.  I am working on a chart for the inside to keep track of those lost teeth. I hope to post it Monday. I did lightly spray the tin with a light green coat of paint.
               Dear Tooth Fairy,
In this tin you may find
         a teensy tiny tooth.
         So while I sleep
         where dreams are made,
See if we can make a trade?
