Cupcake Card

Well it has been a while since I have had time to craft. I miss how much it relaxes me. I have quite a few birthdays this month. I did several version of the above card. This is the first version so it had a few flaws.
When I cut the Happy Birthday with my Craft Robo, I used inside lettering for the other card. Love getting two projects from one cut.
Sorry the inside is so blurry; I did not see the blur until I upload the picture. Of course the card was long gone by then. I used The Glitter Stack paper by DCWV and held the bottom flap closed with two glitter brads. The blank side of the tag hold my sentiment.
I had this idea for a reverse flap to write on for the inside of the other card. I still don't like how it turned out for cutting and folding. I'll have to work on that template some more. Sewing the flap closed was a boo boo, But with added sequined flowers, it turned a mistake into an okay project.
Couple of things about this project. Do not mix the sides of the template or you will have to trim. (see the picture above). Here are the PDF template and the GSD template. Please remember they are not for resale.

School Thank You

This thank you card was easier than I thought to put together. I used a 6"x 12" sheet folded on the 2", 4", 8", & 10". From the edges it is cut 1 1/2" between the 2" and 10" fold. Graphics used for this card are by Teresa Kogut when she was designing for pccrafter.com. Her sets have been discontinued. Cardstock is from DCWV paper.

The edges of the base is chalked on all folds to give it an aged feeling. Letter rub-on transfers for a chalkboard look. I also put more transfers on the corner of the envelope.

Corvette Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I made for my niece to give to her boyfriend. He loves corvettes. The paper I mounted the picture on is "Once Upon A Time". I used velvet ribbon and rhinestones for embellishments. I cut the Happy Birthday with my Craft Robo. The hardest part was finding a picture she liked.

Pocket Fold Stationary

Here is a new version of the pocket tag card. I turned the card and folded just a little differently. I used a Fisker corner punch, rivets set with my Crop-a-dile, ribbon, flower brad, and some left over stickers from easter die set.
I have a PDF file I will post tomorrow night. It makes a nice stationary note instead of a card. I used light weight designer paper from DCWV. I used various sayings to make a tag set and inserted it into the front pocket. I added a brad and ribbon tag. I added flower brads to the inside sayings to add dimension. The back portion is not a pocket for opens for a half sheet of stationary.

Monocolor Cards

Thought I would share the cards I worked up for a monocolor swap:
The lettering was done with my Gazelle and a sparkle gelly pen. The font was Romanticly Yours.
This card fits into a standard small business envelope. I used Accent corner brads for the embellishments. The lettering was again done with Gazelle and Bayscript font.
The card below was embossed with Cuttlebug folder, and dusted with a touch of purple chalk.
I used paper by DCWV. The small star button are layered on top of the larger buttons with glue dots. You guessed it, all cards' lettering was done with my Gazelle and some kind of gel pen. The font below is a font by pccrafter.com. Accent brad was also added.

Fan Pop Up Card

Just had to share another version for the pop up card I made. I used Far East paper from DCWV, a purple eyelet and yarn fibers. Fan and purple stripe cover the white card stock where I put my message. It was a very quick card to make.

Christmas List Folder

I needed this about a month ago. But it is never to late to get your list for Christmas started. This folder is made with a 6" x 12" DCWV Christmas paper.

A I folded the outside paper in half and then fourths. I attached a velvet ribbon and a jeweled magnet closure to the front cover. The metal disc is mounted under the ribbon.

The inside striped paper is from the same DCWV Christmas stack. I cut 4 strips 3 3/4" x 9". I liked the inside trimmed an 1/8" smaller in width to make it fold nicer. The pocket is formed by folding 3" up. I embossed the 3" part with Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder. Then at random I folded down the corners to reveal continuous stripe pattern.

Here is a folder for your Christmas lists: Family List, Friends/Neighbors, Food List, Special Notes. I am just waiting for the pads to dry and will post a picture of the note pads for the inside in a couple of days.

Pen Card Insert

We are always getting the nicest pens in the mail for permotions. It is such a shame to let them just sit in my drawer at work.  I decided to see what I could do for a thank you or appreciation card. I used DCWV Embossed paper stack and Far East collections for this card. I cut around the packaging bubble from the advertizer to make the pen holder for the card.

The retangle cut for the opening of the pen bubble I glued to the back for the pattern is continous.  I attached the ribbon tab on the inside with a flower shaped eyelet and added a magnet closure to the back.
