Cupcake Card

Well it has been a while since I have had time to craft. I miss how much it relaxes me. I have quite a few birthdays this month. I did several version of the above card. This is the first version so it had a few flaws.
When I cut the Happy Birthday with my Craft Robo, I used inside lettering for the other card. Love getting two projects from one cut.
Sorry the inside is so blurry; I did not see the blur until I upload the picture. Of course the card was long gone by then. I used The Glitter Stack paper by DCWV and held the bottom flap closed with two glitter brads. The blank side of the tag hold my sentiment.
I had this idea for a reverse flap to write on for the inside of the other card. I still don't like how it turned out for cutting and folding. I'll have to work on that template some more. Sewing the flap closed was a boo boo, But with added sequined flowers, it turned a mistake into an okay project.
Couple of things about this project. Do not mix the sides of the template or you will have to trim. (see the picture above). Here are the PDF template and the GSD template. Please remember they are not for resale.

Wedding Shower

This card and envelope were made for a wedding shower. I designed this card with my Craft Robo. I used white card stock for the first cut and the silhouette couple was cut from black card stock. Fisker punch for the trim on the front of card and inside for a finishing touch. I was in a hurry and did not design an edge. I printed a scatter of hearts on the front corner of the envelope. I hope Lisa liked the card.
It bugs me about the trim. I will share the GSD file in the future when I fix the border.

Paisley Elements

When you do not get any feedback, you never know if anyone out there likes what you are doing. I hope some one like this file. It is not glued together yet, because I am not sure how I am going to use them.

For a challenge on the UK Scrappers, I created the paisley file with my Craft Robo. You can download the GSD file.

Wedding Invitations

I was asked to create a wedding announcement for January with colors of white, black and red. They want a snow theme. I worked up these three selection to for a start. It will be fun to see what we end up with. Below I have given you closeups:

This Cuttlebug embossed selection has a band embellished with a snowflake cut with my Craft Robo.
This is a gate card. The white to the back is where the announcement would peek through or a picture of the couple. It is embossed with hearts and embellished with a heart brad and a snowflake cut with my Craft Robo.
This selection was embossed with swirls linked hearts and words from Cuttlebug "With Love", charm and red ribbon.
Vellum embossed snowflakes for the closure seals on the envelopes were printed black and then embossed with opaque power.
I will post the final announcement once it is complete.

Young Scrapper

Granddaughter was chosen for student of the week just before Christmas. She needed a poster of her favorite things. It is simple but I think she did a great job for a second grader.

Corvette Birthday Card

Here is a birthday card I made for my niece to give to her boyfriend. He loves corvettes. The paper I mounted the picture on is "Once Upon A Time". I used velvet ribbon and rhinestones for embellishments. I cut the Happy Birthday with my Craft Robo. The hardest part was finding a picture she liked.

Hottie Wand

Help!! I just hate posting something that I can not give credit.  This hottie wand is magic and can solve many problems brought on by hot flashes.  I am working the author of the poem. Hope to have the source by Monday.

The wand is a tree shaped all-day sucker from Walmart. It could be used for an over-the-hill birthday as well. I printed the image and poem on gloss broucher paper. Green star garland is hot glued to the edges and metalic curly ribbon from the dollar store.  The graphic was emailed to me a long time ago. Laurie Furnell has some cute senior graphics on pccrafter.com that would work nicely.

Love you This Much

Last minute card for my children. The cute graphics are  from Contemporary Christmas found on pccrafter.com. I cute the snowflake with my Craft Robo, embellished with a rhinestone, and mounted it with dimensional dots. The photo is an eyeball bender. If you focus on the cutout part of the flake it looks cut out of the card instead of mounted with raised dots.

Tooth Fairy Tin

I don't know if I really like this one, so I may alter this post with a new tin. This tin is for those brave children that are loosing their teeth. Graphics by Susan Seals at pccrafter.com.  I am working on a chart for the inside to keep track of those lost teeth. I hope to post it Monday. I did lightly spray the tin with a light green coat of paint.
               Dear Tooth Fairy,
In this tin you may find
         a teensy tiny tooth.
         So while I sleep
         where dreams are made,
See if we can make a trade?

Daddy Diaper Tool Belt

A special tool belt for a new daddy is just the thing to bring a smile to his face or laughter to a baby shower. I have done special orders with a theme in mind. Frogs seem to be the most requested. Graphics are Daddy Dearest by Carolee Jones from pccrafter.com.

Bus Driver Appreciation

This card for bus driver appreciation was inspired by Mary Jo Albright tutorial. It is flat for 1/4 card envelope and stand up when you pull the tab. Graphics are by Colleen Parry "Teacher's Helpers" from pccrafter.com
The bus is mounted with a pop dot. I did add a pull ribbon, but camera battery fizzled out.

Bag in a Box

I love the bags made by Andrea but I could not wait to make my own version. Although the lighting was not the best for glitter foil paper, I couldn't wait to make this santa bag in a box. The belt is an 11" x 3/4" light weight paper threaded through a slotted silver brad. I hot glued on the buttons so I did not have to cut off the backs.
This version is thanks to Laurie Furnell. I adapted her snowman wrapper graphic into a wrap for my bag in a box. Snow glitter was added by brushing on clear glue. Curly yarn for the scarf and top knot. I have inclued the PDF and GSD files; and my alterations for the tab are also inclued.

Birthday Purse

Little girls love purses. This birthday card is just the thing. Made with Party Animals by Leere' Aldrich found at pccrafter.com.

Matching note pad is 3"x3".  Note pad is held in place inside the purse with a repositionable glue dot.

I used the clutch purse template and added a flap. Punch two holds where the flap and the back panel meet. Cut ribbon to desired length, poke end through hold and tie knot in the end.

Boo Your Neighbor

This door hanger is just right for a neighborhood knock and run. The instructions are given in the poem. Place a plate of goodies on your neighbor's door step, place the door hang on the knob, ring the door bell, and run. It is fun to share this with friends and family. I used the the cute ghost graphic in Witchie Poo and Boo by Laurie Furnell found at pccrafter.com .  Here is the poem.

You've Been Boo-d!

Late last night, we left you a treat.
The tradition is fun, one we hope you'll repeat.

Take the ghost and pin it on your door,
to let others know, you need boo-d no more.

Now it's your duty to pass on the surprise,
to two more families, we must advise.

Gather some treats and deliver them soon,
within two nights, under the light of the moon.

Include a ghost with each package you give,
along with this poem for the tradition to live.

Purse Bag

This cute bag is perfect for all occasions. Seen here for a birthday, fall thank you, and Christmas. The Christmas purse was cute twice, then trim the inside layer by an 1/8" on the bottom and side. The templates will be posted on Monday. I'm still trying to perfect a couple of things.

Christmas Star

Just sharing this star with those of you who can use the GSD template file. I must warn you I have updated to RM 4.4, but I am working on getting back a copy of the older version. I would appreciate some feedback on the type of files everyone is using.

Watercolor Paper

Here are the results from a paper experiment and the finished project. After each photo is the details on how that look was achieved. Graphic  is Autumn Days by Laurie Furnell and can be purchased at pccrafter.com.

Graphic was given a drop shadow for a dimensional look and printed on gloss photo paper. Corner punch by Fisker was used on the corners. When printing on photo paper, make sure you use the photo gloss setting. Otherwise, too much ink is applied to the paper.

I was very pleased with the color result using Draft Fast Print setting. Usually I don't like this setting because it is too light, but on watercolor paper the color was just right. Ribbon and paper sticker sunflower were added for dimension. Graphic was cut around with designer scissors and chalked with green and brown mixture. The green background was embossed with Cuttlebug.

After printing graphic on watercolor paper, I sprayed heavily with water and brushed to achieve a watercolor look. I dabbed the color out to the edges. To enhance the edges a little more, brown chalk was added.
Graphic was printed on watercolor paper with plain paper setting for the ink. Trimmed around the edges of the graphic leaving just a little white, because of the ribbon curl. To tone down the white brown chalk was brushed on the edges. DCWV The Old World Stack, purchased at JoAnn's, was used for the background paper and mounted on tan card.

Witch Wrap

Need an idea for Halloween. How about a chocolate covered pretzel treat inside a cute little witch by Laurie Furnell. The measurements for the cover portion is 1 3/8" x 5/8" x 4 5/8".  I am including a picture of the layout. I would be happy to give you a template, but it really needs to fit the graphic. If you purchase this graphic and need the template let me know, I will be happy to share with you. Even though it is only a small portion, I have covered the graphic with a white triangle to save a little on ink. I used brochure 32 lb paper and the base is clued to a circle of cardstock.  My favorite method of double sided glue, ATG gun. With 7  pretzel packages in a box, I am in this cute treat less than fifty cents. You can purchase the graphics at pccrafter.com.
